FUN - FRIENDS - FOOD

Elder Young Playing with his food as Elder Lambert looks on.  Pretty impressive melting and blending of the cheddar and provolone. At church with Steven and Som.

In the office with Sister Yang and Sister Mon.  Sister Yang is from California and Sister Mon - Myanmar.  We met these two in the Provo MTC.  Sister Mon spoke very little English then, you should hear her now.  Elder Grange and I call them our lugg sowe, or girl children.  We love them!

This is the way to the Klong Monster, or long boat taxi..............down this little walk wayand out onto the dock.  Then you wait and jump into the boat as it stops for a nano second to let people off and on.  It is cheap though, just 10 baht.

This is what happens when you leave your phone unattended with the Sisters.  I got a group picture of Sister Htway, Myanmar, Sister Soysen, Thailand, Sister Black, USA and Sister Magbanua, New Zealand by way of the Philippines. We will miss Sister Carrillo who will return to Meridan, Idaho this Friday.

Tops is the main grocery store we shop at, but with it being a walk, subway ride and in a mall, it takes a big chunk of time to go to it.  Not to mention that we then have to lug the groceries home.  So, about a month ago a new mini Tops opened right across the street from us.  I am not exaggerating when I say "It has changed our lives!!"  It is about 3-4 times size of our closest 7-11, has fruit and vegetables and other staples not carried by 7.  Yep, changed our lives, so happy.

Next we were invited to go to Steven and Som's new house for the dedication, good food and great friends.  I met her parents, her sister and husband and darling kids.  Her mom's name is Joy.  She was a joy and with her limited English and my limited Thai, we forged a sweet new friendship.

We ate some really, really good Thai food and enjoyed a wonderful time in Steven and Som's first home.
Meet Arun and Cherry and their darling daughter Ivy.

Steven and Som.

WE ARE SO BLESSED TO BE HERE IN THAILAND, TO MEET AND SERVE WITH WONDERFUL DEDICATED PEOPLE, MEMBERS AND MISSIONARIES.
